I am excited to announce that I am running for Klickitat County Sheriff and I want your vote. My extensive work experience, education, and broad array of leadership skills make me an excellent candidate and solid fit for the Klickitat County Sheriff’s Office. It also offers the attractive opportunity to lead a dedicated workforce while ensuring safety and well-being of all residents, businesses, and visitors to Klickitat County.
I previously was the Chief of Police for the City of Richland, Washington and Frisco, Texas. Both are recognized for their low crime rate, outstanding schools, strong sense of community and growth. I have over 35 years of law enforcement experience and 24 years of executive staff experience. I am also an Assessor/Team Leader with the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).
My wife and I bought property in Klickitat County in June 2020 and moved onto it in September 2022. We have two sons who live in Texas and work in Public Safety.

Why I am running
Klickitat County is our home now. I have been blessed with a great career that exposed me to a lot of issues and some great training opportunities. Over the last two years numerous citizens have approached me about running for sheriff. I have the experience in leadership, budgeting, and growth that will enable me to lead the Klickitat Sheriff’s Office further into the future.
